SwimOffice Admin - Email/Print/Calendar

If you would like to add a blog to your SwimOffice website here is a quick guide. There are two approaches you can take.

  1. Embed the blog on a page on your website. This is the most integrated approach because the blog content is surrounded by your swim team's website. The downside is that some blogs will no longer display when logged in due to browser security. In particular, embedded blogspot.com blogs will not display in a Chrome browser while logged in because they cannot use https security.
  2. Link to the blog from the website. Although it takes people away from your website, your blog is displayed in all its glory and people don't have to scroll within the confines of an embedded iframe.

We will show you both ways to do this.

First, create your blog if you haven't already. WordPress is a good one. Feel free to use a blog site of your choice, but we make no guarantees it will work if you want to embed it.

  1. To create a WordPress blog, go to https://en.support.wordpress.com/create-a-blog/ and follow the instructions.
  2. Compose a blog entry if desired.
If your blog already exists then go to your blog website.

Method 1: Embed blog in SwimOffice

  1. Open a new tab in your browser so that your blog is still open in another tab.
  2. Go to and Sign in to your TeamUnify site.
  3. Add a page for your blog if you haven't already (see link at bottom if you don't know how).
  4. Go to the page where you want the blog and click the Edit link.
  5. Click the Source button.
  6. Copy and paste this code in the editor:
    <iframe width="712" height="500" src="https://xxxxxxxxxx.wordpress.com">
Unable to display content because your browser does not support iframes. Please upgrade to a modern browser such as Firefox or Chrome.
    </iframe>
  7. Switch back to the browser tab with your blog.
  8. Copy the URL of your blog. If you made it in WordPress it will look something like https://swimteam.wordpress.com
  9. Switch to the browser tab with SwimOffice.
  10. Replace the URL in the code with your blog's URL you copied in step 8.

  11. As highlighted above, make sure to use https and NOT http in the URL to make sure the blog will be displayed when logged in.
  12. Feel free to change the height parameter to something taller.
  13. Click Save Changes.
  14. Once this is done it will embed your team's blog into your SwimOffice site.
  15. If you don't initially see it try refreshing the page, or log out and then go to the blog page. If you can only see it while logged out (try logging back in and try viewing again) you will either need to live with it, choose another blog site to use, or use method 2 below.

Method 2: Link to blog

  1. Open a new tab in your browser so that your blog is still open in another tab.
  2. Go to and Sign in to your TeamUnify site.
  3. In the side menu click Team Admin > Website Design.
  4. If you want to add your blog as a subtab, click the tab name under which you want it in the Tabs table listing.
  5. Click the tab or subtab with the name of the blog, or click Add New if it doesn't exist yet.
  6. The Tab Label can simply be Blog or something fancier.

    Tab Edit for blog

  7. Set Link this Tab? to YES.
  8. We recommend setting Open Link In to New Window.
  9. Switch back to the browser tab with your blog.
  10. Copy the URL of your blog. If you made it in WordPress it will look something like https://swimteam.wordpress.com
  11. Switch to the browser tab with SwimOffice.
  12. In the URL field, paste your blog URL you copied in step 10.
  13. If the URL has http, replace it with https (Note: This will NOT work with Blogspot; you will need to leave it as http).
  14. Choose the rest of your settings.
  15. Click Save Changes.
  16. Now when people click the Blog tab or subtab, it will take them to your blog.
Happy blogging!
